I apologize for being so quiet around here lately. We've been making an effort to finish 'old' renovation projects before we start any new projects (read: the upstairs bathroom), and have spent every free minute doing just that. A few weeks ago, PRH and I had an argument about our renovation projects (yes, we do disagree on occasion). Everything had come to a stand-still and we realized that we were living in a giant half-finished project. Not fun. We finally agreed to work on one small project each weekend, and sat down with an actual calendar to map it all out. This weekend was spent spackling the mudroom and re-painting our filthy-looking stairs. This is a 1/2 way shot (let's not forget what they looked like before...blech!). Obviously, we still need to finish hanging sheet rock, spackling, and painting the living room, but that's a project for two weekends from now. We've also been living with these paint chips on the living room wall for several weeks. I have a hard time making a commitment to wall colors- bathrooms are typically the only rooms I'll paint any color besides white (current house and old house). I think we're going to go with the bottom color, Behr's River Rock. Don't quote me on that, though.
