I mentioned yesterday that we cleaned 1/4 of our barn. Admittedly, these photos have zero wow factor- we have a long way to go, but I am thrilled that it's a bit cleaner. Imagine this: smooth concrete floors, tons of light, and bright white walls. This space is our future studio space. We're also planning to build a kitchen of sorts for wine, cider, and beer making.
That little pile of garbage above? It was the end of the day and I got lazy. But check out what it looked like before...

Ahhhhhhh. The irony of this handwritten sign tacked to the wall wasn't lost on this girl.
We can see the floors now! This is where livestock used to be stationed. PRH wants to cut this thing out, but I think it's a fun reminder of how the space was used. Functionally, he's probably right, though. We'll see what happens when we get everything cleared out.
Still horrifying? A bit, yes. Cleaner than before? YES!
We have one more load of garbage to take to the dump. It's organized as neatly as possible.
PRH ripped down that particle board wall while I piled crap in the back of the truck. We still have to take out that little cage thing with the striped fabric on the outside. We found tons of metal in the garbage pile, so we piled it all in the cage so we can recycle it. An inspirational quote would be great right now. Oh, wait...'The road to success is always under construction.'. Back at it this weekend.
